Up for sale is a beautiful all-original Omega Constellation from the 1950's, unpolished and serviced. After being first bought in the 1950's, it was worn for around 5 years before being kept in a desk for over 50 years, preserving the watch in amazing condition. The case is sharp and retains all of its sharp edges. There are marks of light-wear all-throughout the case but no deep scratches.
The caseback emblem is incredibly well-preserved, clearly showing all 8 stars on the constellation emblem. The word "constellation" is faintly visible around the caseback - which is consistent with normal wear. The inside of the caseback is marked 14381 1 SC. The dial is completely original. It is in a pie pan configuration with the sought-after arrowhead markers intersected by cross-hairs.
There are two miniscule marks on the dial around the 11 o'clock mark, otherwise the dial is in great condition. The hands are completely original and I decided against having them polished with the service since I wanted everything to be as original as possible. The crystal is original as well and the microscopic omega marking is visible under the loupe, with the feet of the Omega symbol facing towards the 1 hour marker. Unfortunately, I do not have a sufficient lens to take the photo, but I can guarantee that the marking is present.
The robust calibre 551 runs perfectly in the watch. Service papers can be sent with the watch. The watch is paired with its original beads of rice bracelet which is in fantastic, functional condition. Measurement of the strap from the first available lug hole to the corresponding part of the bracelet measures just under 8 inches - as pictured.
