Vintage Gruen Veri Thin Pan American 420SS 534 Pilot 1940s Mens Watch 10K GF

Its a 17 jewel 420ss 534. The case is 10K Gold Filled with a Guildite Back. The Watch is currently running and keeping time but I have not tested it fully for accuracy.

Now the crown does wind but when you pull it out to set the hands it will not it and will just unscrew off. That's the part of this watch that will need to be fixed. But I was able to turn the crown in the opposite direction and it will make the hands move. Other then that, Its a pretty clean looking watch and it polished up beautifully.

Original hands & red sweeping hand. The Dial face is 2 tone color and marked just Gruen Veri Thin & pretty clean as well and I took off the crystal to show that (see photo). The original crystal is scratched & has a crack up near the top (see photo).

The Gold Filled case looks great with just your normal every day wear and polished up beautifully. The back inside case cover is fully marked (see photo) and the back is also engraved (Frank from Mom & Dad June 1948). The case measures approx 40mm long and 33mm wide including the crown.
